Pastor Jiff

Dear Parents
Because children are important to God, our children are our most prized "possessions". To help you connect with God's heart to children, we have compiled this list of Bible verses that speak to children as a blessing in our lives and to how God asks us to relate to them and regard them.

Children are an important and valuable part of God's Kingdom. It is always a good thing to know what the Bible says about the children in our lives:

  • Children are the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 18:1-5);
  • Children belong to Jesus and to his Kingdom (Mark 10:13-16);
  • Children are examples of humble faith in Jesus ( (Matthew 18:2-16);
  • Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3-5);
  • Children can be saved by God (2 Timothy 3:24-15)
  • Children can praise and worship God (Matthew 21:15-16);
  • When we love our children, we discipline them (Proverbs 13:24); and
  • God is the father to the fatherless children (Jeremiah 49:11).

AFMVC KIDS' MINISTRY

OUR MISSION

The focus in AFMVC Kids' Ministry is to help kids understand the grand story of God's wonderful plan to rescue his people. We hope that as our children begin to understand who God is and who they are in God's Word. They will learn from a tender age how they could know God while building friendships that will last

Vision

Here at AFMVC Kids' Ministry, we intentionally partner with parents to build up the next generation of spiritual leaders for Christ. We dream of seeing every home passing on their faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ to the next generation. May the next generation of disciples continue to spread the Gospel message to the whole world.

How You Can Serve

If you have felt the Lord speaking to you about our Kids' Ministry, you could get involved in the following way: Make yourself available for equipping sessions so that you could become a teacher; Become a "mother" or "father" to a child who has no parents or who has an absent father by "adopting" the child. Take the child out for coffee once a week; get involved in their school work; buy them clothes once a year... Become an intercessor for the Kids' Ministry by praying for all the needs of the ministry. Liaise with the Kids' Ministry leader and staff.
